Eatingsafe™ Data Verification System
Our top priority is to provide the highest possible quality data.
There are two types of data failures which may occur during data verification: errors in data collection and/or entry and errors in attached data. Each type of data failure raises different issues which are identified and resolved using the 6-stage verification system unique to Eatingsafe™. Entered labels are stored in a holding bay where they await their duplicate label. Only if the two records match 100% are they approved to the next stage. Products which have been duplicated but do not pass the 100% match check are held behind for further processing by our data management team. All products which are approved to the live Eatingsafe™ website must pass a 6-stage verification system which includes a multi-stage duplication system including research, administration, location and final approval stages. Only when all requirements have been fulfilled and all stages passed can a product be approved to the live Eatingsafe™ website. For more information on the Eatingsafe™ data verification system, please contact us.
The interactive label forum has been designed to provide an area whereby consumers can communicate with manufacturers on the specifics of labels and clarify any ambiguities. Comments posed to manufacturers are administered by Eatingsafe™ and will involve an answer or confirmation from the manufacturer. Additionally, consumers can also use the interactive label forum to communicate with fellow Eatingsafe™ users with similar dietary interests.
The interactive label forum provides the ability for consumers, manufacturers and consumer groups to communicate around food label ambiguities. Any claims confirmed by Eatingsafe™ as a result of the interactive label forum will be added to the properties of the label through the additional claims option and these claims will be reflected in the nutrient and ingredient analysis. Eatingsafe™ users who register for the interactive label forum are able to select a variety of user groups they wish to associate with (e.g.: Coeliacs, Diabetes, Fitness Instructors, APDs). When a reply or new topic is posted, an automatically-generated email containing a link to the new post is sent to participating members of the same user group.
